Literature Birley: Government of Britain (2005) p.231-232 (T.Flavius Sabinus cos 47), p.232-233 (T.Flavius Vespasianus cos 51)
Castritius, Helmut: "Zu den Frauen der Flavier", in Historia, Bd. 18, 1969, pp. 492-502 argues that Iulia Flavia was the daughter of TITUS' first wife Arrecina Tertulla whose mother was a Julia.
The stemma below reflects this.
Dobson: Primipilares (1978) p.165 (§2 Vespasius Pollio)
Fitz: Pannonien (1993) p.152 (§57 T.Flavius Sabinus cos 69 72)
Levick, Barbara: "Vespasian", London, 2005, stemma on page xxii-xxiii
Rüpke: Fasti Sacerdotum (2008) p.587 (§1017 T.Caesar Vespasianus), p.658 (§1470 Domitianus Caesar), p.693 (§1720 T.Flavius Vespasianus cos suff 51),
Settipani: Continuite (2000) p.273 with stemma
Thomasson: Fasti Africani  (1996) p.40 (T.Flavius Vespasianus cos suff 51)
Tortoriello: Fasti Consolari (2004) p.497-500 (§25 T.Flavius Sabinus cos suff 47), p.500-502 (§26 T.Flavius Vespasianus cos suff 51)
Townend, Gavin: "Some Flavian Connections", in The Journal of Roman Studies, Vol. 51, 1961, pp.54-62 proposes the Sabinus cos 69 and 72 is the son of Sabinus cos 47
and is the father of the consuls 82 and 95. He also explains the cognomen Clemens of cos 95 by suggesting that his mother was an Arrecina. This has been followed in stemma below.
Vogel-Weidemann: Statthalter (1982) p.205-214 (§27 T.Flavius Vespasianus cos 51 etc)
Changes 17.12.2016 New header plus minor updates, mainly supplementary information. An important change is that T.Flavius Sabinus cos 69 72 (previously not attached to the stemma)
is now assumed to be son of namesake cos.47.and the father of consuls 82 and 95. And Flavia Iulia is now assumed the daughter of TITUS' first wife Arrecina.
