Articles Christol, Michel and Drew-Bear, Thomas: "Q. Aurelius Polus Terentianus et Q. Hedius Rufus Lollianus Gentianus, proconsuls d'Asie", in
Anatolia Antiqua, Tome 3, 1995. pp. 67-93, especially pp.88-92. They propose to insert a generation between H40 (cos 144) and H42
(cos suff c.186): a new L.Hedius Rufus Lollianus Avitus, who was the governor of Bithynia c.162/166 and thus probably cos suff c.161.
Their arguments are (1) 42 year gap between consulates too long and (2) H41 (the boy minstrant) too young to be a son of H40.
Settipani follows them in his stemma, but I am not yet fully convinced and prefer the old stemma in PIR.
Remy: Carrieres p.99-101 on L.Hedius Rufus Lollianus Avitus (H40), governor of Bithynia. He prefers the governor to be the same man as cos 144.
Seston, William: "Sur les traces de Marius Maximus. I. Marius Maximus et les consuls en 209", in Scripta varia. Mélanges d'histoire romaine,
de droit, d'épigraphie et d'histoire du christianisme. 1980, pp. 221-229. (Publications de l'École française de Rome, 43)
Settipani: Continuite Gentilice p.406-407, who inserts an extra generation following Christol/Drew-Bear.
