Imperial Consuls and Emperors (Augusti and Caesars) 0 incl. 0 emperors
Notes: Stemma according to Dionysios of Halicarnassos (see RE band IV A2 p.2351-2352). Livius skips the two ignoti thus compressing the generations, which seems
impossible from a chronological perspective.
Much (most?) is no doubt mythical. Possibly only Cn.Tarquinius (RE5) is historical, but he may not be a king. The kings' reigning dates below are the traditional.

p.615-648 with stemma p.621
Gantz, Timothy Nolan: "The Tarquin Dynasty", in Historia Bd.24, 1975, p.539-554 (suggests Cn. Tarquinius could be the unnamed son of Priscus)

Ranouil: Le Patriciat 509-366 avant J.-C. (1975) p.69-70, 205 (Tarquinii, prefers the magister equitum of 458 BC to be a Tarquinius, not a Tarquitius)
Shackleton Bailey: "Two Studies" (1976), p.68 (prefers that for L. Tarquitius RE2 the correct reading should be L. Tarquinius RE10)
