36BC M.Antonius (triumvir) executed King Ariarathes X and installed Archelaus as last king of Cappadocia.  
c.25BC Augustus augmented the kingdom with Cilicia Trachea.        
20BC Augustus augmented the kingdom with Armenia Minor.        
17 Tiberius summons old King Archelaus to Rome and has him tried before the senate for revolutionary charges. He dies before a decision is made.  
17/18 New Roman province of Cappadocia (incl. Armenia Minor) formed governed by a procurator. In Cietis (or Cetis, a region of Cilicia Trachea) Archelaus' son succeeded.  
55 Merged with province of Galatia into one province of Galatia-Cappadocia under Corbulo who receives 2 legions from Syria (VI Feratta + III Gallica).  
57 Legion IIII Scythica transferred from Germania to Cappadocia.        
61/62 Legio XV Apollinaris and V Macedonica transferred from the Danube to Cappadocia. XII Fulminata reinforces from Syria.  
64 Pontus Polemoniacus added to Galatia-Cappadocia.          
c.64 Legio IIII Scythica and XII Fulminata moved back to Syria, leaving 4 legions.      
c.65 Legio XV Apolllinaris transferred to Egypt, leaving 3 legions (= III, V, VI)      
c.66/67 Legio V Macedonica left Cappadocia to reinforce the Vespasian in his war in Judaea and III Gallica returned to the Danube.  
66 Galatia and Cappadocia split into two provinces.          
70 Legio XII Fulminata stationed in Cappadocia on a permanent basis.      
76 (70-74?) Galatia and Cappadocia again fused into one province, Galatia-Cappadocia.      
c.76 Cappadocia receives it's 2nd legion XVI Flavia (at Satala).        
112 Cappadocia, Armenia Minor, Pontus Polemoniacus and Pontus Galaticus are detached from Galatia, all become part of new consular province Cappadocia.
